Amanda & Lauren

In the creation of two versions of a concept image featuring the characters Amanda and Lauren, three separate images were collected and combined. These consisted of Katie McGrath (Amanda) in a music video role, Tatiana Maslany (Lauren) in a television role, and a photograph of a bright, modern living room. The end result was created with the purpose of representing a specific scene; the moment when Lauren realises that Amanda was her replacement, just as her birth parents enter - creating the cliffhanger moment of episode two.

Two separate versions of the image were then created; one where Lauren is in focus while Amanda isn't, and one where Amanda is in focus and Lauren isn't. Representing the use of depth of field cinematography within the series' visual style. Alongside this the character images greatly portray the types of devastation that they feel in this moment, as well as suitable surroundings, and other visual and editing style representations of modern, upscale themes, close-up framing, natural lighting, and cold blue colour grading.
